Someone dedicated to them
One caregiver for each acute assisted-living or memory-care resident during waking hours, with most frontline caregivers also nurses.
Someone knows Mom’s normal morning. Someone notices Dad is quieter today. Dr. Janna gets to know them through regular, personal time at the residences. Personal attention is the foundation of the Dunmore model.
We strive for perfection in the things we can control: attention, compassion, dignity, responsiveness, cleanliness, medical oversight and genuine human connection.
Every day will not be flawless. Aging and illness will not always be easy. Our responsibility is to keep asking how we can do better.

A Team Lead in each home, a Family Lead for your family, daily oversight from the physician team led by Dr. Janna, and at least two nurses on duty in each home at all times in addition to dedicated caregivers. Therapists and other professionals support the care experience.
Clear communication and appropriate camera monitoring with privacy and consent safeguards. Families should never have to wonder whether someone is paying attention.
At Dunmore, exceptional care is built around personal relationships and extraordinary medical attention.
Our Medical Director, Dr. Janna, leads a team of physicians dedicated to the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents.
With only approximately 14–16 residents across our first three luxury homes, our approach allows for a remarkably personal approach to medical care.
Dr. Janna knows every resident personally, while her physician colleagues provide continuity of care, daily oversight, and coverage when she is unavailable.
Our residents aren’t simply assigned a doctor. They are cared for by a coordinated medical team that knows them.
Dr. Janna, our Medical Director & Founding Angel, leads a team of at least two additional physicians. Our model includes a physician present on Sundays and continuity when she is unavailable or at another residence.
Each resident has a dedicated personal caregiver, supported by the broader medical team. Dedicated attention during waking hours, familiar routines and companionship are central to our residential model. Most frontline caregivers are nurses.
At least two nurses are on duty in each residence day and night, in addition to dedicated caregivers. Physicians, nurses, caregivers and families coordinate around the resident’s needs.
Alex met Dr. Janna during a short vacation, his first in six years. Less than six weeks later, he moved his father to the Dominican Republic.
Alex’s father would light up when Dr. Janna entered the room. In his last month, he would blow her kisses. Her expertise improved his comfort; her compassion changed the way the family experienced his final months.
She recognized Alex’s caregiver burnout, too. Her support brought relief to the family alongside comfort for Dad. That is the model Dunmore is built around: care for the whole family.

Choosing a non-oceanfront room changes the outlook. It does not change our standard of care.

Dominican operating economics allow more of the care budget to go into people and time. The opportunity is to improve personal attention, medical continuity and everyday living while spending less than it would cost to recreate comparable private care in the United States.
Our residential pricing starts at $7,999 per month. The residence, room and individual care plan determine the proposal. Oceanfront and non-oceanfront options offer different settings and price points.

Better care should also give the family caregiver room to live. Stay involved from afar, rent nearby or discuss a home together. Be their son, daughter or spouse again.
A Family Lead helps keep communication, practical details and the care team connected. You have a person to call when something changes.

His mother’s memory care cost more than $10,000 a month, yet the family still paid a caregiver to check on her. After his father’s two falls and traumatic brain injuries, Alex spent years assembling a care team and managing every detail. Dunmore is the professionally organized version of what he wishes someone had built for his family.
“I would have gladly traded proximity for exceptional care.” His mother’s experience defines the standard we strive to deliver.
